You are always able to access all of your bookmarks on MyWebBar.com. You don’t have to think about or check whether you have saved bookmarks on your computer at home or work. You always have full access to your bookmarks. Websites do not have to be sent per email, in order not to forget website names. Click on it once and your bookmarks are always there for you.
Use the following steps to upload your bookmarks with Mozilla Firefox:
- Bookmarks > Bookmark manager > File > Export
- Save your bookmarks on your desktop for convienence.
- Select the function “Upload bookmarks” under “My bookmarks.”
You can now select from the bookmark file on your desktop with "Browse." Please determine you type of bookmark and enter the CAPTCHA string.
“Top bookmarks” are bookmarks that appear on your toolbar. All other bookmarks can be found under "Toolbar settings," "Bookmark settings" and "Edit bookmarks."
You have the possibility to enter “Top bookmarks” from “Upload/import bookmarks” or create a completely “New bookmarks” under "Toolbar settings," "Bookmark settings," "Top bookmarks.”
“Top bookmarks” from “Import bookmarks”:
Click “Toolbar settings,” “Bookmark settings,” “Top bookmarks” and enter the name of the bookmark you have already upoloaded in the auto-complete field under "Add top bookmarks." By clicking the button “Add,” the relative website will appear in your “Top bookmarks.”
Completely “New” “Top bookmarks”:
Click “Toolbar settings,” “Bookmarks settings,” “Top bookmarks” and enter the name of the website you would like to find in your "Top bookmarks” in the search field under "Add new top bookmarks." Please enter the URL and click “Create.”
Click “Toolbar settings," "Bookmark settings," "Top bookmarks." You will find a list of your "Top bookmarks” here. Select the bookmark that you would like to move and move it with the green arrow.
There are several ways to remove a "Top bookmark".
Option 1: Under "Top bookmarks"
Click “Toolbar settings," "Bookmark settings," "Top bookmarks." You will find a list of your "Top bookmarks” here. Select the bookmark and delete is with the red “X” button.
Option 2: Under "All" bookmarks
Click “Toolbar settings," "Bookmark settings," "Edit bookmarks." You will find a list of all “bookmarks" that you have saved on MyWebBar.com here. Select a “bookmark” that can also be found in your "Top bookmards," then it will be deleted from both lists simultaneously.
When you upload a bookmark, e.g. from your browser, it is saved with the URL. That in itself is not a problem, but if you could find your websites with shorter names, then it is naturally better laid out.
Click “Toolbar settings," "Bookmark settings," "Edit bookmarks." Select the website that you would like to edit and click "Edit bookmarks" once again. You have the possibility to change the bookmark name as well as the URL here. Do not forget to save changes.
You can specify which of your bookmarks are public at any time. Even enabled bookmarks can be disabled by you again. You can change the status of your bookmarks under “Toolbar settings,” “Bookmark settings,” “Release bookmarks.” You have the option of releasing "Private bookmarks" or to disable bookmarks again that have already been made public.
Public only means that other users can see that this website is designated as "Private bookmark" by some user, but not which user. Despite being public, you remain completely anonymous. This bookmark is displayed under “Bookmarks” in the website information about a website. It is only displayed if the respective website is represented in the MyWebBar.com catalog.
